Threadbare Collective’s practice is rooted in research of social, architectural and health infrastructures - and the histories, stories and bodies that give them form. We run workshops and reading groups as spaces of collective inquiry, art-making, pedagogy, and social practice. We prioritise rest, access, and lived experience as critical tools.
Our practice embraces the unfinished, the non-functional, and the soft as generative forms of resistance, finding alternative forms of embodied knowledge-making. They’ve been hosted at institutions such as the Feminist Library and Staffordshire Street Studios. They were residents at Goldsmiths CCA from 2024-25.
